When I first went about creating my brand on social media, I thought it was about post, post, post. But, over time I learned that it was less about posting consistently overall, and more about – posting intentionally that month. With that said, here is the simple approach, which worked for me and will work for you too.
- Be Yourself
Before I began sharing, I asked myself: what do I want to be known for? Whether it is in terms of digital marketing, design, or motivation, defining and narrowing your focus allows others to remember you. - Provide Value, Don’t Just Post
When I first started posting, I was just thoroughly confused and posting random updates. I really started to get growth, once I added value by sharing tips, information, and my own experiences that might benefit others. People are following you because you are providing value to them on that day. - Be Consistent, Not Perfect
So many students want to wait until their content is perfect. But consistency is the most important- making sure to have consistent posts. Whether - Get Social
Social media is not a platform, it is a conversation. Answer comments, follow your contemporaries, and support. Relationships are more powerful than posting, and the relational ties we make will never be limited to a post on social media. Let’s Connect
